HOOPSTAD AGED CARE CENTRE
Hoopstad Aged Care Centre offers excellent facilities and services for the elderly in a beautiful rural village. We offer a safe haven for our elderly residents with beautiful gardens and two animal camps where you can have a wonderful time under the trees and watch the sunset.
Hoopstad's farming community is very involved with our elderly residents and the program offered throughout the year promises to be a lot of fun..
The town was initially called Hauptstad after the town's surveyor, a Mr Haupt. With a little translation into Afrikaans, the town took on its modern name, Hoopstad.

Apartments
We have 45 apartments available for rent. It is ideal for people who can live independently without any assistance. Options include the following:
• Bachelors apartment
Open plan room with en-suite bathroom and a garden available.
• One bedroom apartment
Separate bedroom with en-suite bathroom plus living and kitchen area and a garden available for gardening.
Rooms with
care services
Hoopstad Center for the Elderly has 9 semi-care rooms. These rooms are ideal for people who can live on their own but sometimes need some form of assistance. This includes, among other things, help with dressing, administration of medication or assistance in the bathroom.
Full-service rooms
We also offer 27 full-care rooms where all meals and frail care are offered with compassion and respect. These rooms are perfect for people who are bedridden, or wheelchair bound. Our trained staff help with washing and feeding frail elderly residents. Our aged care is person-centred where each resident has a special care plan especially for their needs.

New Hope Dementia Unit
We offer a homely atmosphere for our persons with Dementia. Wonderful activities and stimulation are offered by a full-time Occupational Therapist and a trained team of carers. All needs are looked at and form part of the care plan per individual.

- Weekly Prayer which is led by the ministers at the Home
- Activity program developed by Occupational Therapist for apartment residents
- Hair salon available
- Library on site
- Knitting and Crochet group
- Foot clinic offered every 2 months
- Weekly shopping is done for residents or residents can drive to town to do their own shopping
